Victorian Carolers to Perform at Carillon’s Triangle Communities
A Raleigh singing group renowned for their classical Christmas caroling will perform five free concerts this holiday season at Carillon Assisted Living’s Triangle communities. 
The Victorian Carolers have twice performed at the White House, in 2011 and 2012. Here at home, the group is known as the performer of choice at Christmas celebrations held at the Governor’s Mansion, historic Oakwood, and the State Capitol, to name a few.
Victorian Carolers will perform their signature style of Dickens-era classics, in full dress costume, at each of Carillon Assisted Living’s five Triangle communities for seniors. Events will be held on Thursday, December 12 from 4-6 p.m. in Durham, and from 5-7 p.m. in Hillsborough; and on Saturday, December 14 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Fuquay-Varina and Knightdale, and from 2-4 p.m. in North Raleigh.
Carillon Assisted Living is North Carolina’s only homegrown, locally owned and operated provider of licensed assisted living and Alzheimer’s care for seniors. The Triangle caroling concerts are part of a companywide effort to welcome families and friends to Carillon’s 17 statewide communities for a fun, festive celebration featuring the traditions of Christmas’ past and present, according to Carillon President and CEO Karen Moriarty.
“Our Carillon Christmas Concert is a way to bring people together around the very traditions that unite us at the holiday season, and in effect, all year long,” said Moriarty. “And it is so important to center those festivities around our seniors, because they are the ones who taught us to honor those Christmas traditions and to pass them on to our children.”
In addition to music and caroling, each event will feature delicious holiday fare and incorporate charitable giving opportunities to local children’s charities.
