The Antique Road Extravaganza is Coming!
If you’ve ever wondered what that treasured family heirloom in your attic is worth, now is the time to find out. Carillon Assisted Living will host a series of antique appraisal fairs across the state, September 6 and September 13. Join us at the Carillon nearest you for a nostalgic afternoon, and find out if your prized possession is worth a lot to others, or is simply priceless to you.
Items will be evaluated* by professional antique appraisers, dealers, and auctioneers. Carillon’s Antique Road Extravaganza is a fundraising event, with 100 percent of the proceeds from ticket sales benefiting local charitable organizations, including the Ronald McDonald House and Habitat for Humanity, among others.
Guests are encouraged to buy their $25 ticket in advance. A limited number of tickets will be sold at the door on the day of the event. Carillon of Fayetteville, Southport, North Raleigh and Durham will hold their events on Saturday, September 13. All other Carillons will hold their event the week prior, on Saturday, September 6. All events will be held from 1-4 p.m. Guests are encouraged to come early, as last admittance will be 3:30 p.m.
What to Bring: Antiques and collectibles, vintage furnishings, artwork, jewelry, silver, porcelain, textiles, furniture small enough to be easily carried by the guest, and photos of larger furniture items (so long as the photos are clear and taken from multiple angles.)
What NOT to Bring: Weapons of any kind, gold or coins, stamps or stamp collections, sports memorabilia. For fine art, call ahead.
(*) Verbal, fair-market evaluations only. No written appraisals for insurance or other purposes will be given. Guests must sign a waiver.
